I became a therapist because I believe that everyone makes sense in the context of their own story. That's the lens I bring to every person I sit with. The things you've done, the way you love, the patterns you can't seem to break… they all make sense when we understand where you've been.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. That's not just a credential on a wall, it's a framework for how I see people. Social work is built on the understanding that we are all shaped by the systems around us...families, histories, communities, cultures...the world we grew up in. That shapes how I show up in the room. Everyone makes sense, not in spite of where they've been, but because of it.
I spent 21 years in the United States Air Force. That experience gave me something I couldn't have learned any other way. The ability to sit across from almost anyone and find the common ground. I've worked alongside people from all backgrounds, all beliefs, all walks of life. That's not something I did. It's something I became.
I care deeply about the people I work with, and part of that means being real with them. If something important is happening in the room, I'm going to name it. And when something lands as a little ironic or a little funny, that gets space too. Therapy doesn't have to be heavy every minute. Sometimes the most honest thing in the room is a laugh.
I genuinely wonder about people. What they're carrying, what happened to them, what it would feel like to be in their shoes. My first thought isn't judgment. It's curiosity. That's not a technique. That's just how I'm wired.
Book a Free ConsultationI chose EFCT because it gets to what's real. I'm not going to hand you communication scripts or teach you to manage each other better. We're going to find out what's actually happening underneath it all.
Most conflict isn't really about what it appears to be about. Underneath it is something much older and much simpler. Am I important to you? Will you be there when I need you? EFCT helps people find those feelings, put words to them, and say them in a way their partner can actually receive. That's where things change.
My sessions are purposeful. I believe in real movement. The kind you feel when you walk out.
